Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Fibion Inc. Start Collaboration

Fibion Inc. is proud to announce a new R&D collaboration with Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU). SJTU is one of the top three universities in China and it has established a new top research center this year, called Exercise, Health and Technology Center (EHT) ( The Head of the new research center Professor Sulin Cheng is excited about the collaboration opportunity with Fibion Inc.: ”We want to do collaboration with companies as this will benefit both parties and also guarantees the best possible quality of our research”.

The first joint-research project is measurement of physical activity and fitness profile of SJTU students. ”Our intention is to aqcuire accurate information about physical activity profile of the students and then create interventions that can help students for better health and well-being”, Professor Cheng comments.

Fibion Inc. provides the measurement devices, software, and analysing expertise to the project making the SJTU one of the first partners in the Fibion Beta Premium Membership Program. The enrollment to become a Beta Premium Member is available until end of August 2015.

”It is important to us to form a whole picture of physical activity of the students. It is not enough just to track fitness and exercises, as commute and everyday activity might be more important to the health of the students than exercise. For our project, Fibion provides professional solution to measure also sitting time and low intensity physical activities.”, Professor Cheng continues.
